Dear Sun. Where Are You?

Under normal circumstances, I would be basking in this cold, dreary weather. There's just something about layers, cuddling under piles of quilts, hot chocolate and crisp mornings that usually gets my heart pumping fast, you know? But. For whatever reason, I'm a little bit anxious for spring to arrive.

I'm ready for color. For flowers. For summer nights and warm evenings.

I'm ready for gin and tonics. For sandals. For ceaseless birds to interrupt my slumber. For fireflies.

And I'm ready for sunsets like this one...

Perhaps tomorrow I'll pretend not to be a shut in and venture outside into the cold with my camera. Perhaps.

P.S. My rock star younger sister gets here on Saturday. Get your party pants on everyone, it's gonna be fun.

The sad thing about today was, it was super sunny but so windy that it was unbearable. Go away winter!

It's almost ALWAYS super sunny here. Sometimes I'd wish for a little bit of the winter you guys experience.

Lovely photo! xx

I'm totally cool with the cold weather until mid-February, then I'm OVER IT. It's the same every year, and we have at least 2 months of rain left. Eh.

I'm a little anxious for that golden sun too. Never know when it'll show up around these parts though. Could be months and months. Hooray for leggings in the meantime! xoxo

I can't wait for spring either--I just want lots of blue sky and pretty blossom and some warmth.

I'm longing for summer and spring and sunshine and flowers and heat and all good things. I need it. I'm happy that it's staying light out longer already though.

I'm from the midwest and we've had an unusually mild winter, but we've rarely seen the sun this season. I'm with you, I'm ready for spring to arrive in earnest.
